We utilize various mixes of Anatolian Shepherd and Great Pyrenees. Both breeds make wonderful guardians, but we feel the mix provides a little more versatility in our climate and management and consistently produces terrific guardians. Our dogs spend their lives with the livestock, but also must be easy to handle and great with children. Additionally, they must be alert and responsive to the variety of predators we have, both on land and in the air.
